Rain of Fire, Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash haunts us...
Well, it's been a while since TDC downed a new boss. We've been working on some farm content in MH and BT, toying with Vashj, and of course battling holiday absences and the approaching expansion. This is not a situation we are comfortable with; we formed TDC on the basis that we all wanted to see as much content as possible, while maintaining a light raiding schedule. To do this we have to stay focused on steady progression, so we decided we'd get back to some new content this week. Azgalor was our obvious next choice, and a kill would put us in a good position to be able to clear 4/5 MH on one raid night, setting up the opportunity to have a full raid night to work on Archimonde.
Azgalor proved a good tonic for us. He's a pretty straight-forward kill; manage healing during silences, move to the OT if you get doomed, stay out of the rain of fire. After working a few attempts, and modifying our approach by having all melee stay up with the OT and handle Doomguards, he went down like a sack of potatoes. As an added bonus, he provided the first T6 loot for the guild (and I'm sporting a new set of Gronnstalker gloves). Time to go look at Archimonde. Good job folks!
