Fresh off the success with Razorscale, TDC decided to head down and take a look at everyone's favorite little brat, XT-002. Boy, talk about a poster child for Ritalin...
XT-002 is a fun fight reminiscent of Solarian in Tempest Keep. It's a pretty straight-forward tank and spank for the first 25%, with the added complexity of getting away from the group when you are afflicted with Light Bomb (which will blow up the raid if you're too close), and healing through his Tantrum (brought on, no doubt, from insufficient meds) which causes significant raid wide damage. Once you reach 75% health, XT's heart comes out, and adds begin spawning from scrap piles in the corner of the room. DPS must go all out on his heart, which in turn damages him (he's invulnerable during this stage). Meanwhile, tanks and AoE dps must pick up and destroy the adds coming in from the corners, some of which can repair XT-002. These phases repeat until XT-002 is dead. And dead is exactly what he was after TDC finished with him!
This was a very successful first night for TDC; two new bosses down, many more to go. We're having a great time in the new content, and excited to have challenging raid encounters ahead of us. Our target on Sunday is Kologarn - we'd love to see his giant head (with its own solar system) lying on the ground at the end of that raid!
