Ulduar is definitely proving to be a lot of fun; it's more challenging than Naxx, with all encounters necessitating solid tactics around add control, focus fire, and controlled movement. Auriaya is another fine example of the more demanding encounters in Ulduar, and as usual, TDC proved up to the task.
The Auriaya fight is all about control, and that starts with the pull; we needed to pull her four sanctum sentry adds to individual tanks, as well as getting her to our MT, then quickly focus fire to bring down the adds one by one. While that was happening, the MT positioned her in such a way that we had a clear kiting path to ensure she was faced correctly (in order to minimize damage from her AoE spell), and to move her out of any void zones that spawned when her guardian add (which spawns repeatedly during the encounter) is killed. Once we had the sentries down and a clear kiting path established, it was just a matter of focused fire between Auriaya and her guardian as required; with solid execution, Auriaya was cat chow soon enough...
TDC continues to make very good progress through Ulduar on a two day/week raiding schedule, which proves that the model we believed would work for our guild is successful. We're looking forward to more new boss kills this week, as we focus on Assembly of Iron and Thorim for our Sunday raid. Great work folks, and let's keep the momentum going!
