So, when Ulduar was first released, Ignis was quite the wake-up call for many guilds. Trash that could (and did) wipe raids, bugged boss encounters and abilities, more fun than you could shake a stick at. For that reason, TDC decided to spend time on other bosses, and over the weeks kind of forgot Ignis was still waiting for his beat-down. We remembered him last night.
The fight mechanics are fairly simple, and depend on a very solid tank corps, on the ball healing, and steady dps. TDC quickly learned the add control components of the fight, and once we worked out healing requirements we made quick work of Mr. Crotch Pot. As an optional boss, we probably won't spend too much raid time on future kills, but he will be a "special" on the menu every so often.
With Ignis down, TDC has now cleared the Siege Area of Ulduar, as well as Kologarn, Assembly of Iron, and Auriaya. That makes 7 bosses down in Ulduar 25; our next target is Freya, who we spent raid time on last week, and looks like a good candidate for our next kill. Congratulations to TDC, and let's keep cookin'!
