The second encounter in ToC is Lord Jaraxxas. He's a demon accidentally summoned by Wilfred Fizzlebang, who gets pimp slapped into oblivion for his efforts. Once this amusing vignette is complete, it's up to the raid to handle this silly gnome's mistake.
Jaraxxas is a pretty simple encounter. He is tanked in the center of the Coliseum, while his adds (he summons two varieties, alternating the type over the span of the encounter) must be dps'd down as they spawn. The challenge of the encounter lies mainly with healing; there is a lot of raid damage in the encounter, with multiple specials from Jaraxxas that target individual raiders, and can quickly have a raider pushing daisies if not addressed immediately. TDC's healers rose to the occasion, and we quickly paid Jaraxxas back for his execution of our erstwhile buddy Wilfred.
So far, the Coliseum has been easier than we expected. We expect that will change soon...
